Emotionally Focused Couples and Individuals Therapist
Job Overview:
Our practice focuses on providing compassionate and science-backed couples therapy and individual relationship therapy using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Sex Therapy, Relationship Education/Premarital Enhancement, Mindfulness, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). The ideal candidate will understand the importance of quality relationships for human health and flourishing and be passionate about their work helping others to have more meaningful and fulfilling lives. In this position, you will have a satisfying work-life balance and an independent but warm and supportive “professional home” in a private practice setting. This is an independent contractor position (1099), meaning that you will be given freedom over how your practice runs and a higher percentage of the therapy fee than a W-2 position.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related behavioral health field
- Active, unrestricted licensure (or associate licensure) in the state of Texas:

- LMFT or LMFT-Associate
- LPC or LPC-Associate
- (Or another applicable clinical license)

- Demonstrates interest in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and a desire to grow in this model. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed an ICEEFT-approved externship or are actively pursuing EFT training.
- Passion for helping couples and individuals improve their relationships and heal from trauma
- Willingness to offer some evening availability to meet client needs—especially for couples
- Demonstrates a commitment to maintaining a client retention rate of 80% or higher and consistently providing a minimum of 20 direct client hours per week.
