Maybe you and your partner keep landing in the same fight and can’t figure out how to stop. Maybe trust has been broken and you’re not sure what comes next. Maybe you’re a man who’s spent years holding everything together and you’re finally ready to let someone in. I work with individuals and couples who are tired of feeling stuck, distant, or unseen, and who are ready for something different.
Most of what brings people to therapy traces back to unmet emotional needs, old wounds, and patterns we picked up to survive earlier seasons of life. In our work together, we’ll slow down enough to actually see those patterns, build skills for handling big emotions, and find healthier ways to connect with yourself and the people who matter most.
I Work Especially Well With:
- Couples caught in the same painful cycles of conflict, distance, or shutdown
- Partners rebuilding trust after betrayal, dishonesty, or a long disconnection
- Men who want to grow emotionally but were never taught how
- Individuals working through trauma, anxiety, or shaky self-worth
- People navigating grief, identity shifts, or hard life transitions
My clinical work is grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), attachment-based approaches, trauma-informed care, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I lean into empathy and emotional honesty, and I work hard to make sessions feel safe for the parts of you that don’t usually get a voice.
Reaching out for help takes courage, and I deeply respect that. Most clients meet with me weekly for 8 to 20 sessions, depending on what you’re working through. My hope is that our work together helps you rediscover your voice, strengthen the relationships that matter to you, and move toward the life and connection you want.
Outside the therapy room, I spend most of my time with my wife and kids, being outdoors, and staying active. You’ll often find me hiking, running with my dog, skating, or just soaking in the quiet that comes with being in nature. I value meaningful relationships, ongoing personal growth, and keeping balance in my own life. I’m also committed to continued learning through training in emotionally focused and trauma-informed care.
Your First Session with Devin
Walking into therapy for the first time can feel like a lot, so I keep the first session low-pressure and focused on you. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what you’ve already tried, and what you’re hoping life or your relationship could look like on the other side of this work. You don’t need to have it all figured out before we start. By the end of our time together, you’ll have a clearer picture of how I work, what a typical session looks like, and whether I’m the right fit for what you’re carrying. From there, we set the pace together.
